User account

The User account is a core element of the system. To access the platform, each individual user must have an Account, which is assigned a unique ID. A single Account can be linked to multiple Organisations.

Account or Organisation?

Let’s overview the main differences that go along with Account and Organisation notions.

1. Entities differentiation

Account → beyond the Organisation
Organisation → under one Account

  • The account is linked to a unique ID.

  • The system requires the user to enter the credentials to log in to an account.

  • You can create the Organisation only after you create and verify the account.

  • You can create multiple Organisations based on one account.

  • You can update the Account settings, and those updates will reflect on the Organisations linked to this account.

  • The account shares with the Organisation data such as Full name, Avatar, Email, and 2F authentication.

  • Organisation refers to a particular business case.

  • When the user creates the Organisation, they become its Owner.

  • The Organisation involves Members who are users joining the Organisation via the invite form.

  • It also involves the Roles with permissions and restrictions.

  • If the Owner updates the Organisation info, it becomes visible on the Organisation level.

2. Actions a user can perform within Account or Organisation
