Secure User account
Security should be a top priority for all account users across the Organisation. Therefore, this article guides you through securing your account by managing your Password, enabling Two-factor authentication (2FA), and handling Recovery codes. Learn how to update your Password safely, activate 2FA for added protection, and use Recovery codes to ensure uninterrupted access to your account.
Password change
To update your password, click the Profile icon in the top right corner, and navigate to Account Settings.
Enter your current password, then create a new one.
Make sure the new password is at least twelve characters long and includes at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character.
If 2FA is enabled on your account, you will also need to enter the verification code from your device after clicking Update password.
Two-factor authentication
Enhance your account security by enabling 2FA.
With 2FA active, every login requires both your password and a verification code from an authentication app on your smartphone.
To activate 2FA, click Turn on 2FA and follow the step-by-step instructions.
Be sure to download your Recovery Codes, which serve as a backup in case you lose access to your device.
Recovery codes
Recovery codes consist of ten unique, single-use codes that act as a backup for your 2FA. If you lose any codes, you can generate a new set, which will automatically invalidate the previous one.
To generate new codes, click Generate new codes in the Recovery Codes section. This section appears directly below the Two-Factor Authentication settings and is only visible if 2FA is enabled on your account.
Enter the verification code from your authentication app to receive a new set of ten codes. Make sure to download, print, or copy them before continuing to use the system.
